colours for the
first time! Rebecca
was part of a coxed
eight all from
nearby Trentham Boat
Club who were asked
to represent there
country at The Home
International
Regatta in
Cork

Marches, Friday 28th

On
Friday 28th May 2010
Stone Town Band,
took part in the
annual Whit Marches
competition in
Tameside, Greater
Manchester. This was
the first time that
the band has
competed in any form
of competition in
around 15 years.
Whit marches is a
prestigious event in
the brass band
calendar that takes
place in the
Tameside and
Saddleworth regions
attracting bands
from all over Great
Britain and the
world (This event
being highlighted in
the film Brassed Off
(1996).

Festival has

meals, there
will be some

night shopping
in the Gourmet
Food Marquee

1st, and the
new Park and
Ride from
Aston
Marina.
Also.......
The
Gourmet Food
Marquee with
over seventy
stalls, free
cookery
demonstrations
every day, a
two day
Farmers'
market in the
High Street, a
Town Real Ale
Trail, special
offers and
discounts
across the
town and
Festive fayre
in pubs and
restaurants -
what more
could anyone
ask for!
And
to bring the
Festival to a
conclusion on
Sunday 3rd
October the
Hairy Bikers
come to Stone!
